MATT HARTKE's creative process involves letting the music simply flow, unhindered.

When songwriting, he allows the music to take the direction it desires rather than trying to force it into a certain mold. "Music should come from your most natural place,".

Matt has shared the stage with G. Love and Special Sauce, Carbon Leaf, The Beautiful Girls and headlined a show for Quicksilver Edition all in 2007. This October, Matt was personally asked to support Colbie Caillat by her Manager.

Matt was dubbed "the pick of destiny" by Rolling Stone writer Bob Gulla.

He's been praised for his voice by the likes of multi-platinum producer Jonathan Rotem, and Brightcove.com said of Hartke, "He's got a sound as smooth as the best in the business."

Motif Magazine nominated Matt for album of the year, best singer/songwriter and best male vocalist for 2007.

Apart from Matt's Critically Acclaimed Studio Recordings,The "Street Buzz" on his Live Performance has turned a lot of Industry Heads in such a short period of time. One newspaper column has written; "While most opening bands get little more than a nod from the restless crowd, Hartke was welcomed and cheered." This was for a crowd of 1500 people when Matt supported G. Love and special sauce.

The World needs freshness and light. A whole slew of new is here and on the way. New Music, new ways to live, higher levels of consciousness and ridiculous spontaneous expressions of life.
